Hinterland Speech Pathology supports:
Funding accepted:
- People over the age of 17.
- People who can engage in support in the community or in the comfort of their own home.
- We offer in-clinic support upon request at the Maleny Community Centre.
Funding accepted:
- NDIS participants who are plan or self managed.
- Clients funded by Support at Home or private health insurance (no GP referral needed).
- Patients referred by their GP for Medicare or DVA rebates, or WorkCover claims.

Please note: Hinterland Speech will be taking extended leave from July 2026. Due to this, we are currently not accepting new referrals for those in need of long-term support. Until then, we continue to welcome referrals for ad-hoc assessments and swallowing reviews.

Booking Availability and Process
As we are a mobile service, we operate in different areas each day. Due to this, we currently have limited availability for new referrals and do not operate a waitlist. If we have the capacity and experience needed to provide support, we'll discuss your needs and book in an appointment with you in our next available timeslot.
